June 8th
Our vision for our wedding celebration is to share a meal at a table surrounded by people who have significantly contributed to our lives. There is a seat with your name on it and we cannot wait to share this evening by the water and under the trees with you. Please read to the end so we know your choice of entree!

The Plan
This is a giant Bull Thistle at Farmhouse 58, the site of Laura and Jeff''s engagement in the Cradle of Humankind, South Africa. The thistle represents the resilience, devotion, bravery, determination, and strength that Laura and Jeff hope to embody in their partnership. Expect to see nods to the thistle at the celebration.
Friday, June 7: Welcome Party. ​​Everyone is invited to an informal welcome gathering at a location we will announce here closer to the wedding. Block time from 6:00-9:00 pm if you would like to join us. Casual dress.

Saturday, June 8: Wedding Celebration. Join us in a creekside backyard near Laura's childhood home. The event will begin at 6:00 pm with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails. Please dress to celebrate. No ties or heels necessary.
Saturday, June 8: After-Party. 9:45 pm. After dinner and dessert, we will provide transportation for anyone who would like to join us for post-event drinks at a bar to be announced in Downtown Minneapolis.

Sunday, June 9: Bike and Brew. 2:00 pm. For those who want to keep the party going, Laura's dad, Steve, will lead a family-favorite bike ride around the lakes to Surly Brewing (we can point you to bike rental options or you can meet the group there).
The Deets
MSP International Airport is about 12 minutes from our venue. While we are not reserving a block of hotel rooms, here are a couple hotels in the area we recommend:

The Westin, Edina. This hotel is a few miles from the wedding venue and is in a popular location for restaurants and shopping.
​
The Hewing Hotel, Downtown Minneapolis. While further from the location of the wedding itself, the Hewing is a fun modern hotel with a great rooftop near many of the city's most popular restaurants and bars.
AirBnB in Edina, MN. Some of our guests may want to use an AirBnB option. The zip code of the wedding venue is 55410.

The Din
Our wedding celebration will be a backyard dinner party alongside a creek, under the trees, and in the grass.
​
In order to keep this celebration an intimate dinner we chose who we wanted at every seat at the table, your presence and participation is your gift to us.
​
We would love for willing guests to select and bring a favorite vinyl record for their collection; something meaningful to you that we can keep in our home to remind us of you.
